Dichroic Barrel Bracelet

This gorgeous bracelet is made using a black base bead, and dichroic glass accents. The dichroic colors used are gold, blue, green, and gold/green. This is a 3 layer bead: first, a layer of black glass is melted onto the mandrel (the rod used to build beads on in the flame), next the dichroic glass is melted over the black, and finally a layer of clear glass is placed over the bead. This clear layer helps to create the magnified/multi-dimensional look that these beads have when done. It also pushes some of the dichroic color to the top, creating the dichroic swirls on the surface. This bracelet is assembled using sterling silver beads and clasp, and measures 8 3/8” long.

The dichroic glass used in this bracelet has a fibrous texture with hints of purple within its striking blue color. This dichroic glass is layered under clear glass, magnifying the already stunning colors. This bracelet fits my wrist, which measures 6 6/8” over the wrist bone. Fused Link Bracelet

This is a gorgeous – and unusual – bracelet, using the same concept used when making the cuff bracelets. I designed this type of bracelet for all the folks who were intimidated by the cuff bracelet and it’s lack of a clasp. Instead of fusing the glass in a long strip in preparation for a cuff bracelet, the glass was cut into small squares and special wire (made to withstand the heat of the kiln) placed between the glass layers for later assembly into a bracelet. The dichroic glass in this particular bracelet is clear with a gorgeous blue or yellow flash, depending on how the light is hitting it. I tried to show both colors by taking a picture on two differently colored backgrounds. This bracelet measures just under 8”, and is assembled with sterling silver wire and clasp.
